Have you heard of this author?

If you have not heard of River Jordan, I highly recommend you head over to your local bookstore and find yourself a new read by her.  http://www.riverjordan.us/  Here is a link to her webpage, just reading her Q&A touches my heart and her blog brings me laughter.
I hope you take a moment to discover her work!

Street Photography

I am not the most confident when it comes to street photography.  I have given this gal my full attention and respect is for this lovely individual: http://observatory.designobserver.com/accidental-mysteries-08-05-12.html Vivian Maier "
Accidental Mysteries, 08.05.12
In 2007, the discovery of an unknown street photographer by the name of Vivian Maier (1926-2009) rocked the world of art photography. While infirm and near death, the former nanny/photographer was unable to make the payments on a storage locker, and the contents sold at auction. Consequently, there were three key people who ended up with the lion’s share of the work — all of whom recognized the quality of the work right away."
Just had to share as those who enjoy art, hopefully will enjoy her images.

If you could do anything...

If you could do anything.  What would you do?  My next question for you would be; "What is stopping you?"  Life is not a dress rehearsal, this is it folks.
Like I should talk.  I look at the photo's I take, and they are no where near what I want them to be.  I listen to my ukulele playing and after two years I still suck.
So don't live like me, but go and be who you want to be, and as a friend, an amazing friend named Avis once told me; "don't ever let them tell you no".
No go - and be amazing

Stock Photo Solution

I use photo's and graphics in my PR job at Nashville Violins.  I do not like using "stock photos" from google or any other location-a heavy weight of guilt comes over me even when I think about it.  So, my solution...start up a set of my own stock photo's I can use at my disposal.  I approached one of the violin teachers, and she eagerly said she would pose for me.  So, here are a couple of the photo's from my photo shoot with her for work.

What a great way to support a good cause! The Tutu Project

The Tutu Project...have you heard of it?  I had not until today, after a day of helping my boyfriend and his construction crew, (or rather destruction crew), tear down an old shed behind his place of business, I am unwinding online.  I came across something that made me say, "why didn't I think of that?"
You need to check out this very creative individual: http://www.thetutuproject.com/   I highly recommend going through his collection, they are interesting and entertaining.

I surrender

I have accepted the fact of failure.

Nothing left to say...as my heart breaks and I move on from what I thought could be possible.

From October to March...

I can't help but debate what my purpose is...I was so certain for so long.  Now I seem to struggle with motivation.  *sigh*
I continue with commercial photography, and try to find a way to pursue personal projects.  Maybe one day it will all come together and make sense again.

Sad that the last time I posted it was October, 2011.  Now we are approaching St. Patrick's day.   I don't know if I need to get more organized, or how I need to go about finding the time to do what it is I started what seems so long ago.
This photo is one I have taken recently for an Irish display that I put together for Nashville Violins.  Who knew there could be so many fun colored items in music.
You all should stop by and visit sometime: 5109 Georgia Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209
