42 down....and so many to go!!

It doesn't pay to get behind...at least I enjoy this - so that is a plus.

Here is a shot of a bridge and part of the city of my favorite city.  Chattanooga, TN.  I'm not sure why fate wouldn't allow me to reside there, but sometimes a Higher Power has different plans than what we have for ourselves.

One, Two, Three...Six months behind, ah, ah, ahhhh

Ok, maybe more like eight months behind!!  I'm just trying to get caught up....here are some pic's from Halloween during the very short while I resided in Chattanooga, TN/GA.  Very few people know about this temporary relocation, and it was employment which brought me back to Nashville, TN.
It is spooky how far behind I am, ha, ha, ha...ok, bad joke :)

Published - Book on a Nashville Tribal Belly Dance Troupe

I received my book yesterday-it is the first photo/coffee table book I have ever had published.  It was just through Blurb, but it was a project I worked pretty hard on - and I hope people will enjoy the results.  Below is a sneak peak to some of the pics you can see:

Playing Catch Up...

One posting and I have almost one months of images caught up!  Woo Hoo!  Its a start even with a lot more to go.  These images are from the Chattanooga Aquarium, in Chattanooga, TN.  I have been to this Aquarium three times and each visit has been quite wonderful.  A beautiful setting for amazing animals we don't always get to be exposed to in our lives.

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...Get those pictures Rolling...

Rawhide!  Hee Ya!

Three plus years

Besides that I have been enjoying and doing photography since middle school honing in on the skill in college and beyond.  The past three years I have been spending time researching photographer websites from across the country.  I have researched pricing, the business and marketing aspect of photography.  I have taken classes, read book, practiced, read magazines, practiced and worked on building my portfolio.
Today, I gave out two packets of price sheets and information pages to two prospective clients for Senior pictures.  In the six months of this year I have had more bookings than in the past two years combined-and I haven't started to market myself yet.
I'm not sure how this is working-all I know-is that I am incredibly grateful, and thankful.  I am very curious where things will be in eight months.

99 bottle of beer on the wall...

Or so I feel as I try to get caught up...aye!

A winter scene at Radnor Lake/Park...winter just isn't the same as it is back home.  But, I do try to take advantage of it while it is here.

224

224, is how many photo's I need to get posted to get caught up as of July 13, 2010.

I can do it!

November 30th

That was the "official" last post.  Wow...what happend!??  I have so many things to catch up on...during this transition of late, I have been evaluating what is keeping me from getting where I want to be.
I am spread too thin.
I spend my lunches, my evening, and any free time dedicated to coordinating outings for a club.  What once was fun, has now become a source of stress.
But, I have many pictures prepared to be added to my blog-and I am excited to get caught up in the next couple of weeks.
Hopefully in 8 months, I won't be hating getting up in the morning.  Only to face a desk, which I refuse to decorate.  A fear of wondering "is this the day I get into trouble".  A heavy weight on...I have three minutes to complete this call or it will count against me.  An aggrivation of-I was ONE MINUTE late from lunch...will that cause me to get written up today?

Along with making changes and hoping for a future of a successful photography career, I am also seeking better health.  I have picked up yoga again, started to belly dance a LITTLE bit more (really, its barely a little) and have focused on the food on my plate.  I have gained a lot of weight in the past year and a half.  I'm not happy about that - and I am definitely not happy about the tone I have lost.  But, onward and upward I go-
Along with my path of photography, the path of life continues with a journey...destination, unknown.

I came across a jewelry designer here in Nashville who wanted pictures of her designs for a website and advertisements.  I had the blessing to work with the above model, and fabulous friend, Julia.  I am very pleased with how her pictures turned out.
