Happy Tales Happy Place

The humane society in Franklin, TN is called Happy Tales.  There are many happy and loving pets who wait for homes.  I found out this weekend there is a sweet kitty named, Mary, who has been waiting for five years. :(
I did a photo shoot for them so they would have high quality images to promote the pets.  I am hoping with better photograph's of the animals, maybe, just maybe it will help them find homes.  I spent Saturday, the 23rd at Happy Tales enjoying the pets and the volunteer's during the photo shoot.
Below are pictures of a couple of the sweet pet's who are up for adoption.

OTE - Over the Edge

Over the Edge was a Special Olympic's fundraiser, if you raised enough money you would be able to rappel 400' from the roof of the First TN building downtown Nashville.  Even the Nashville Predator's mascot got into the action.  He...she...the kitty was strapped in and went over in fine fashion.  Here is a little preview of the view and the Mascot on its way down.

On the Road

It has been suggested I make a change with my blog.  Since my schedule doesn't seem to let me update my blog as often as I desire-I will be updating it with things that are going on.  I will be filling you in on trips I take photo sessions I do and things that are exciting in the world of Dangerous Curves.
Here are some photo's from a trip I made home to Wisconsin.  It is always a blessing and a treat to go home.
The top picture is a barn near my parents farm.  This was a big hit when it was first painted.  A farmer and a Holstein Cow with his arm around her shoulders, and her leg around his shoulders.  Two buddies.  It has been photographed many time and has been a feature in many local newspapers.

I saw this farm from the road - took the exit and stopped to take the picture.  It is actually pretty unfortunate how many farms are dwindling from the Dairy State.  Considering I grew up on this land in the Midwest and I was very involved on my Dad's dairy farm, it is heartbreaking to me to see no cows in the pastures anymore.
I'm pretty sure this is Hwy 53, which takes you into Rice Lake (and beyond).  I love the hills, the grass, the wonderful tree's and the blue, blue sky.  A sky that goes on forever as it reaches beyond the hillsides.

Another pic from my book

An image I'm very proud of - I love the symmetry in the dance movement.  I love the bright stage lights.  The best part are the beautiful tribal dancers.

Another few pics from the book of Belly Dance

Here is another sneak peak at a couple photo's which are posted in my book.  I am very happy to be able to say I have heard from Gwyn and she is pleased about the project.  Whew! :D  I am so very glad!!
It was a lot of work - and it is wonderful to know, it all paid off!  I am working on another version, maybe one that will be a bit more affordable to publish-that way in case anyone does want to buy one, it won't be so expensive for them.
Publishing is interesting-if you have a "publisher" who is taking a chance on you and footin the bill, it can lead to a career.  Yet, when it is a "self publishing" project, there isn't money to be made.  Which is A-OK by me, I'm just happy the project is finished.  It was never my goal to profit from this-just share with the world what an amazing talent and kind spirit Miss Gwyn truly is and how thankful I am to have met her.

42 down....and so many to go!!

It doesn't pay to get behind...at least I enjoy this - so that is a plus.

Here is a shot of a bridge and part of the city of my favorite city.  Chattanooga, TN.  I'm not sure why fate wouldn't allow me to reside there, but sometimes a Higher Power has different plans than what we have for ourselves.
